3、ronavirus(CCV)RNAbutdoesnothybridizetoantigenicallyrelatedfelineinfectiousperitonitisvirus(FIPV)RNA.TheRNAsof13entericTGEVisolatesfromtheUnitedStates,Japan,andEngland,4US-licensedlive-attenuatedTGEVvaccines,andantigenicallycloselyrelatedCCVweredetectedbypG3BS.TheRNAsofFIPV

4、and3USisolatesofPRCVdidnotreactwithbutweredetectedbyaTGEV-derivedPigsinfectedwitheitherPRCVorTGEVtestserologicallypositiveforTGEVantibodybytheserumneutralizationtest.CharacterizationoftheviruscirculatinginaswineherdbytheprobewilldifferentiatebetweenanentericTGEVandarespira

5、toryPRCVinfection.Transmissiblegastroenteritisvirus(TGEV)ofswineRecently,wereportedthataPRCVwaspresentinisacoronavirusthatwasisolatedforthefirsttimeintheUnitedStates.16Theviruswassimilarantigenically41946.ThevirusreplicatesinthecytoplasmofmaturetotheEuropeanPRCV,andbothvir

6、usescauseonlyabsorptiveepithelialcellsonthesurfaceofvilliintheinapparentrespiratoryinfectionsinneonatalswine.Itsmallintestine.Transmissiblegastroenteritisvirusisimportantforaswineproducerwithaherdserologi-causesdestructionoftheseepithelialcells,resultingintallypositiveforT

7、GEVantibodiestoknowiftheherdwaterydiarrheaanddehydrationthatleadstoalmostwasinfectedwithPRCVorTGEV.Inthispaper,a100%mortalityinsusceptiblepigsinfectedduringthecDNAclonederivedfromthe5'endoftheTGEVfirstfewweeksoflife.ATGEVvariant,designatedpeplomerglycoproteingeneisshowntoh
