6、yaccented,andanidenticalconsonantsound(ifany)thatfollowsthevowelsound.Sotospeak,rhymeistherepetitionofthestressedvowelsoundandallsucceedingsounds.Thus“line”willrhymewith“pine”,“visit”with“isit”.Rhymeisthemajorsoundelementwhichcontributestothemusicofpoetry.Therhymes
7、inapoemwillusuallyformapatterncalledrhymescheme.1.Masculine/femininerhymeWhentherhymingsoundinvolvesonlyonesyllable,usuallyattheendofrespectivelines,itiscalledmasculinerhyme.Oftenthefinalsyllableisstressed.TypesofRhymee.g.“cold”and“bold”,“sky”and“fly”. Whentherhymi
