4、enteric,orsystemicinfectionsofdomesticandcompanionanimals.Felineandcaninecoronavirusesarewidespreadamongdogandcatpopulations,sometimesleadingtothefataldiseasesknownasfelineinfectiousperitonitis(FIP)andpantropiccaninecoronavirusinfectionincatsanddogs,respectively.Inthispaper,differentaspectsofthe
5、genetics,hostcelltropism,andpathogenesisofthefelineandcaninecoronaviruses(FCoVandCCoV)willbediscussed,withaviewtoillustratinghowstudyofFCoVsandCCoVscanimproveourgeneralunderstandingofthepathobiologyofcoronaviruses.1.IntroductionfamilyCoronaviridae,thatis,thefelinecoronavirus(FCoV)[10].Thefirstob
