4、ftheFarallonPlatebeneaththeNorthAmericancrust.Thecauseofshortertermsealevelchangesoftheorderof30to50metersisnotbecauseofgrowthanddecayoficesheets,butmorelikelythefillingandreleaseofwaterfromgroundwaterreservoirsandlakesalthoughtheremayhavebeensomeiceintheEarlyandlatestCreta
5、ceous.Carbondioxidewasnottheonlysignificantgreenhousegas;methanecontributedsignificantlytothewarmerclimate.Suggestionsofverywarmtropicaloceantemperatures(>40°C)haveimplicationsforthenatureofplantlifeonlandlimitedbyRubiscoactivase.Thelandsurfacesweremuchwetterthanhasbeenthou
