4、STOTALITYOFAGREEMENTPRECEDENCEOFLAWSMAINTENANCEOFPRACTICESSAFETYANDHEALTHTERMOFAGREEMENTARTICLEIAGREEMENTThisAgreementismadeandenteredintothisdayofJune,2008byandbetweentheUniversityofDelaware,hereinafterreferredtoasthe^University,”andtheUniversityofDelawareChapteroftheAme
5、ricanAssociationofUniversityProfessors,hereinafterreferredtoasthe”AAUP.”ARTICLEIIPURPOSEThepurposeofthisAgreementistopromoteharmoniousrelationshipsbetweenthefacultyandtheadministrationoftheUniversity,toimprovethequalityofeducationandtomaintainthehighstandardsofexcellencea
6、ttheUniversityofDelaware,andisthesoleandexclusiveembodimentofallagreementsbetweentheUniversityandtheAAUPcoveringwages,benefitsandconditionsofemployment・Itisagreedandunderstoodthattheintentandpurposeatalltimesshallbetheimprovementandmaintenanceoftheeducation,researchandrel
7、atedprogramsoftheUniversityandthewelfareofthestudentbody.InthefurtheranceofthepurposeofthisAgreement,thepartiesagreetoadheretotheStatementonAcademicFreedomasapprovedbytheBoardofTrusteesoftheUniversity,May31,1979.ItisunderstoodthatthisAgreementinnowaydiminishestheresponsib
