1、StatementofUnderstandingforGraduateStudents(RevisedSeptember2011)Pleasereadeachstatementcarefully.Byagreeingtotheseconditionsforadmission,youunderstandfullytheUCOacademic,administrative,andimmigrationregulatorypoliciestobecomeaUCOstudentonF-1visa.1.IunderstandthatImustsubmitallapplicationfor

2、msandsupportingdocumentstotheUCOOfficeofGlobalAffairs(OGA)beforethedeadlinedatelisted.Ifmyapplicationfailedtomeetthedeadline,itwillbeconsideredforthenextearliestsemester.2.Iunderstandthatallinformationgivenontheapplicationformsmustbeaccurate.Failuretolistallcollegespreviouslyattended,orfalsi

3、ficationofapplicationinformationoranyofmyacademicrecordswillresultinmysuspensionforacademicmisconductandimmediatedismissalfromUCO.3.IunderstandthatImustsubmitofficialacademiccredentialsfromallschoolsIamcurrentlyattendingand/orhaveattendedinthepast.IunderstandthatImustmeetthegradepointaverage

4、requirementfortheprogramIintendtopursue.4.IunderstandthatifEnglishisnottheprimaryvernacularinmycountry,ImustmeettheEnglishproficiencyrequirementoutlinedbeforetheadmissionwillbegranted.However,ImaysubmittheapplicationforadmissiontoUCOwithouthavingmettheEnglishrequirementbutonlyforevaluationof

5、myacademiccredentials.IfIhavemetalltheadmissionrequirementsexceptfortheEnglishproficiencyandwishtoattendanintensiveEnglishprogram,ImustapplytotheEnglishlanguageschoolapprovedbytheStateBoardofRegentstoreceivetheI-20andtheprovisionalacceptanceletterfromUCO.5.IunderstandthatifIentertheU.S.onI-2

6、0issuedbyUCO,Imustenrollandcomplete9graduatecredithoursbeforeIameligibletotransfertoanotherinstitutionintheU.S.6.IunderstandthatImustbepreparedtobringtoUCOatuitiondeposit(aminimumof$9,000deposit)tocovertuition,fees,on-campushousingandmeals,textbooksfromoncampusbookstore,andhealthinsurancefor

7、onesixteen-weeksemester.Remainingbalanceistobeappliedasacreditforthesubsequentsemester.ShouldIleaveUCO,thedepositwillremainascreditforfouryearsafterwhichitwillbeheldbytheuniversity.IunderstanditisnotUCO’spolicytowaivethedeposit,itisusedtoreservemyp
