2、Interestintheroleofthemicrobiomeinhumanhealthhasburgeonedoverthepastdecadewiththeadventofnewtechnologiesforinterrogatingcomplexmic
3、robialcommunities.Thelarge-scaledynamicsofthemicrobiomecanbedescribedbymanyofthetoolsandobservationsusedinthestudyofpopulationecology.Decipheringthemetagenomeanditsaggregategeneticinformationcanalsobeusedtounderstandthefunctionalpropertiesofthemicrobialcommunity.Boththemicr
4、obiomeandmetagenomeprobablyhaveimportantfunctionsinhealthanddisease;theirexplorationisafrontierinhumangenetics.Untilrecently,thepropertiesofthemicrobiotaofhumanssystemswithstrongphenotypesisessentialformak-MicrobiotaThemicrobialorganismsthat(formerlycalled‘thenormalflora’)w
