1、AbstractContexthelpstoimprovetheacquisitionofEnglishvocabulary,andthetheoryofcontextprovidetheoreticalbasisforvocabularyteaching.Atpresent,thepragmaticstudiesinthisaspectisfarfromenough.ThispaperaimstointroducethetheoryofcontextintotheteachingofBusinessEnglishvocabularyandeva
2、luateitspracticaleffectsthroughexperimentalteaching.Thispaperfirstreviewsthepreviousresearchesaboutthetheoriesofcontextathomeandabroad.ThenitoffersillustrationonthedevelopmentofBusinessEnglishvocabularyteaching,onthebasisofthesepreviousstudies,aone-semesterexperimentonvocabul
3、ary(textbook:PASSCAMBRIDGEBECPRELIMINARY)iscarriedoutamongthetwocontrastclassesofsophomore(Oneastheexperimentalclass,andtheother,asthecontrolledclass.)Intheexperimentalclass,thecontextualtheoryisappliedtothewholeprocessofvocabularyteaching,includingtheinputofnewwords,theproce
4、ssoforganizingtherelativecontext.Andtheconsolidationofthewordlearning,whileinthecontrolledclass,thetraditionalteachingmethodisemployed.Owingtothetimelimitationandfeasibilityinclass,thecontextualizedvocabularyteachingislimitedtothefollowingthreelevels:vocabularycontext,speechc
5、ontextandsituationalcontext.vocabularyteachingIntheexperiment,twoEnglishvocabularytestsandtwocomprehensiveEnglishtestsareconductedbeforeandaftertheexperimentandthedataarestatisticallyanalyzed.Theresultsoftheexperimentshowthatcontextualizedvocabularyteachingcultivatesstudents'
