2、itions;thenitreachesamanhoodofintenseactivities,profitingfromexperienceandlearningmoreaboutsocietyandhumannature;atmiddleage,thereisaslighteasingoftension,amellowingofcharacterliketheripeningoffruitorthemellowingofgoodwine,andthegradualacquiringofamoretolerant,morecynicalandatthesametimeakindlier
3、viewoflife;thenInthesunsetofourlife,theendocrineglandsdecreasetheiractivity,andifwehaveatruephilosophyofoldageandhaveorderedourlifepatternaccordingtoit,itisforustheageofpeaceandsecurityandleisureandcontentment;finally,lifeflickersoutandonegoesintoeternalsleep,nevertowakeupagain.Oneshouldbeabletos
4、ensethebeautyofthisrhythmoflife,toappreciate,aswedoingrandsymphonies,itsmaintheme,itsstrainsofconflictandthefinalresolution.Themovementsofthesecyclesareverymuchthesameinanormallife,butthemusicmustbeprovidedbytheindividualhimself.Insomesouls,thediscordantnotebecomesharsherandharsherandfinallyoverw
5、helmsorsubmergesthemainmelody.Sometimesthediscordantnotegainssomuchpowerthatthemusiccannolongergoon,andtheindividualshootshimselfwithapistolorjumpintoariver.Butthatisbecausehisoriginalleitmotifhasbeenhopelesslyover-showedthroughthelackofagoodself-education.Otherwisethenormalhumanliferunstoitsnorm
6、alendinkindofdignifiedmovementandprocession.Therearesometimesinmanyofustoomanystaccatosorimpetuses,andbecausethetempoiswrong,themusicisnotpleasingtotheear;wemighthavemoreofthegrandrhythmandmajestictempootheGanges,flowingslowlyandeternallyintothesea.Noonecansaythatlifewithchildhood,manhoodandoldag
