4、lexing(WDM)transmissionsystemsandnetworks.Providingflexiblebandwidthdesignandlownoise,theRamanamplifierhasbecomeanattractivesolutioninthehigh-capacitylong-haulwavelengthdivisionmultiplexingopticaltransmissionsystems.Althoughtheentirebandoferbium-dopedfiberamplifier(EDFA)ifful
5、lyutilized,theneedformoreopticalchannelsalonginstalledfibers,increasingchannelcountandopticalbandwidth,pushesEDFAtechnologybeyonditsperformancelimit[1-3].ToincreaseWDMdatacapacitiesandrealizetheultra-long-haulsystemreach,thenoiseperformanceofamplifiersbecomescritical[4-6].Sim
6、ilartootherAmplifiers,RamanFiberAmplifierswillleadtosomenoisewhiletheyamplifysignal.ThenoiseofRamanfiberamplifiers(FRA)mainlyincludesASEnoiseanddualRayleighscattering(DRS)noise.AmplifierSpontaneousEmission(ASE)noisethatduetotheamplifierofRamanspontaneousscatteringbypump(signa
7、l)isbackgroundnoisewhichoverlaywholeRamangainspectrum.ItisthemainnoisesourceofRamanFiberAmplifiers.SothestudyofASEnoiseisveryimportantfordecreasingnoiseandimprovingtheperformanceofsystem.FirstwegetthepowerequationsofASEnoisefromthepropagationequationsofFRA.Thenweanalyzedafewm
