3、Moreover,server-sidewidgetsrequiretoomanypostbacksonsimpleactionslikepagingoreditingitemsonagrid.There’snowaytoavoidthepostbackbecauseyouarestoringtheobjectmodelontheserversideandyoufetchdatafromserverside.Nothingisstoredontheclientthatcanhelpfacilitateclient-sideoperations.Althoughser
4、ver-sidewidgetsareeasiertodevelopandmaintain,theyactuallyofferpoorperformancecomparedtoclient-sidewidgets.Ontheotherhand,client-sidewidgetsusemostlyJavaScript,sotheycanofferalotmoreinteractivityandfunctionalityonthebrowserwithoutrequiringanypostback.Becauseclient-sidewidgetsfetchdatafr
5、omexternalsourcesrightfromtheJava-Scriptandmaintainobjectmodelandstateontheclient,theyofferfunctionalitylikepaging,editing,andsortingrightontheclientwithoutmakinganypostback.Moreover,client-sidewidgetscancacheexternaldataonthebrowser,sosubsequentvisitsforclient-sidewidgetsbecomealotfas
