6、eunnaturalamountsofnitrogenoxideintotheatmosphere. Oncethesecarbon-basedgreenhousegasesgetintotheatmosphere,theystaytherefordecadesorlonger.AccordingtotheIntergovernmentalPanelonClimateChange(IPCC),sincetheindustrialrevolution,carbondioxidelevelshaveincreased31percent
7、andmethanelevelshaveincreased151percent.Paleoclimatereadingstakenfromfossilrecordsshowthatthesegases,twoofthemostabundantgreenhousegases,areattheirhighestlevelsinthepast420,000years.Manyscientistsfearthattheincreasedconcentrationsofgreenhousegaseshavepreventedadditiona
