3、herefore,thereappeargreatdifferencesinvocabulary,intonation,acceptation,semanticsandpronunciationaspects.ThepronunciationofBritishEnglishissomewhatmoreartificialthanthatoftheAmericanEnglish.Inaddition,AmericanandBritishEnglishmayusedifferentwordstoexpressthesamething.Forinstance,ifyou
4、wanttouseawordtorefertotheplaceneartheroadonlyforpeoplewalking,youcouldusepavementinBritishEnglishorsidewalkinAmericanEnglish.Moreover,themeaningorspellingofsomewordsarealsodifferentintheabove-mentionedtwoEnglishforms,suchas“colour”,whichisthestandardspellinginBritishwhile“color”isthe
5、well-acceptedspellinginAmericanEnglish.Ofcourse,therestillexistmanyslightdifferences,butit'sneedlesstolistthemonebyone.Inanutshell,therearemanydifferencesbetweenBritishEnglishandAmericanEnglish.Nonetheless,thefuturetendencyislikelytobethecombinationofthesetwoforms.2TheDifferencesandSa
