4、hedonline14July2008Abstract.ThispaperexaminestherelationshipbetweenstreetcentralityanddensitiesofcommercialandserviceactivitiesinthecityofBologna,northernItaly.Streetcentralityiscalibratedinamultiplecentralityassessmentmodelcomposedofmultiplemeasuressuchascloseness,betweenness,andstra
5、ightness.Kerneldensityestimationisusedtotransformdatasetsofcentralityandactivitiestoonescaleunitforanalysisofcorrelationbetweenthem.Resultsindicatethatretailandserviceacti-vitiesinBolognatendtoconcentrateinareaswithbettercentralities.Thedistributionoftheseactivitiescorrelateshighlywit
