2、rLee,Member,IEEEAbstractThisstudyisfocusedonintegrationandoperationofasingle-phasebidirectionalinverterwithtwobuck/boostmaximumpowerpointtrackers(MPPTs)fordc-distributionapplications.Inadc-distributionsystem,abidirectionalinverterisrequiredtocon-trolthepowerflowbetweendcbusa
3、ndacgrid,andtoregulatethedcbustoacertainrangeofvoltages.Adroopregulationmechanismaccordingtotheinverterinductorcurrentlevelstoreducecapac-itorsize,balancepowerflow,andaccommodateloadvariationisproposed.Sincethephotovoltaic(PV)arrayvoltagecanvaryfrom0to600V,especiallywiththin
4、-filmPVpanels,theMPPTtopologyisformedwithbuckandboostconverterstooperateatthedc-busvoltagearound380V,reducingthevoltagestressofitsfollowedinverter.Additionally,thecontrollercanonlinechecktheinputconfigurationofthetwoMPPTs,equallydistributethePV-arrayoutputcurrenttothetwoMPPTs
5、inparalleloperation,andswitchcontrollawstosmoothoutmodetransition.AcomparisonbetweentheconventionalboostMPPTandtheproposedbuck/boostMPPTintegratedwithaPVinverterisalsopresented.Experimentalre-sultsobtainedfroma5-kWsystemhaveverifiedthediscussionandfeasibility.IndexTermsBidir
