5、owever,theoriginaldefinitionbySlinkierin1972isthemostwidelyacceptedone,whichgoeslikethefollowing:“Fossilizationlinguisticphenomenaarelinguisticitems,rulesandsubsystemswhichspeakersofaparticularnativelanguagewilltendtokeepintheirinterlinguarelativetoaparticulartargetlanguage,
