2、sedmanuscriptreceived23November2011)Thedevelopmentdirectionofrailwayistoimprovethecapacityandtheservicequality,wheretheservicequalityincludessafety,schedule,highspeed,andcomfort.Inlightoftheexistingcellularautomatonmodels,inthispaper,wedevelopamodeltoanalyzethemixedrunningproces
3、sesoftrainswithmaximalspeedsof500km/hand350km/hrespectivelyinthemovingblocksystem.Intheproposedmodel,weestablishsomesoundrulestocontroltherunningprocessoftrain,wheretherulesincludethedeparturerulesintheintermediatestations,theovertakingrules,andtheconditionsofspeedlimitationfort
4、rainstoppingatastationorpassingthroughastation.Withtheconsiderationofthemixedratioandthedistancebetweentwoadjacentstations,thepropertiesofthetraintrafficflow(includingcapacityandaveragespeed)aresimulated.Thenumericalresultsshowthattheinteractionsamongdifferenttrainswillaffectthecapac
