3、mparedwithconventionalswagingmethod,theaxialfeedofthedesignedrotaryswagingmachinewasreachedbyaconstantpushingforce.Thedeformationofgroovesinpipereducedsectionduringrotaryswagingwasanalyzed.Theshrinkageandextensibilityofpipereductionweremeasuredandcalculated.Furthermore,fouraspects,inc

4、ludingouterdiameter,surfaceroughness,extensibilityandprocessingtimeofpipereduction,whichwereinfluencedbythepushingforce,wereconsidered.Theresultsshowthatthetubewallthicknessincreasesgraduallyalongthez-axisatsinkingsection.However,theouterdiameters,surfaceroughnessandmicro-cracksatredu

5、cedsectiontendtodecreasealongthez-axis.Besides,theeffectofvariationinthepushingforceontheextensibilityislimitedwhileanincreaseinthepushingforceresultsinadecreaseofsurfaceroughness.Therefore,alargepushingforcewithinthelimitisbeneficialtopipereductionmanufacturingduringrotaryswagingproc
