2、aper,weproposealgorithmsfortexture-basedvolumerenderingacceleratedbytexturehullsthatavoidthetransferringandcompositingofemptyvoxels.Wehavedevelopedmethodsthatefficientlyfindalltheboundingrectanglesofthenon-emptyregionsaswellastheboundingcontoursthatmoreaccu-ratelydescr

3、ibethebordersofthenon-emptyregions.Thebound-ingshapesaretreatedasthehullsofthenon-emptysub-textures.Texelsoutsidethehullsareskippedforstoringandrendering.Withouraccelerations,therenderingspeedis2to12timesfasterforavarietyofdatasets.Keywords:Graphicshardware,2Dtexture
