6、tervalsof4.6montwoperpendiculartransectscrossingeachotheratthecentreofano-tillfield.ThreeFourierseriesmodels,withafinitenumberofharmonics,weredevelopedtosimulatethevariabilityinKsvalues.ThesemodelsincludedtheregularFourierseriesmodel,thehalf-rangeFourierserie

7、smodelwithonlycosineterms,andthehalf-rangeFourierseriesmodelwithonlysineterms.Also,atestofsignificancewasconductedwiththefirstfiveandeighttermsoftheFourierseriesmodels.Thistestindicatedthatwithonlyfiveoreighttermsmodelperformanceswerenotsignificantlydifferent
