3、earbehaviorsoflow-risesteelchevronandsuspendedzipperbracedframes.Asuspendedzipperbracedframehasthesameconfigurationwithachevronbracedframeexceptforthezipperstrutsattachedbetweenthestorybeamsandaheavytrusssystembetweenthetoptwostories.Thesezipperstrutsredistributetheunbalancedverticalforceresultingf

4、romthebucklingofthecompressionbraces;asaresult,theyeliminatetheuseofstiffbeams.Three-storyframesforbothconfigurationsareanalyzedunderstaticanddynamicloads.Foreachanalysis,memberdeformations,memberforces,storydriftsandbaseshearsarecollected.Thebeams,columnsandbracesaremodeledbyusingnonlinearforce-fo

5、rmulationframeelements,andthesectionresponseisobtainedbyfiberdiscretization.Thenonlineargeometriceffectsareincludedbyadoptingcorotationaltransformation.Theresultsappeartoindicatethatbothconfigurationsprovidesimilarlateralstiffnessandbaseshearcapacity.Inaddition,thesuspendedzipperbracedframedemonstr
