3、nedwith-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilanereagent.Theadsorbentwascharacterizedbynitrogenadsorp-tion/desorptionmeasurement,thermogravimetricanalysis(TGA)andpotentiometrictitrationanalysis.TheTGAresultindicatedthatthesurfacemodificationreactionsintroducedsomeorganicfunctionalgroup
4、sontothesurfaceofsilica.ThesurfaceareaofAMPS-silicawas389.7m2/g.Theadsorbentwasexaminedforcopperionremovalinseriesofbatchadsorptionexperiments.ResultsshowedthattheadsorptionofCu2+ontoAMPS-silicawaspHdependent,andtheadsorptioncapacityincreasedwithincreasingpHfrom2to6.Theadsorpti
5、onkineticsshowedthatCu2+adsorptionwasfastandthedatafittedwellwithapseudosecond-orderkineticmodel.TheadsorptionofCu2+ontoAMPS-silicaobeyedbothFreundlichandLangmuirisotherms,withr2=0.993andr2=0.984,respectively.ThemaximumCu2+adsorptioncapacitywas19.9mg/g.Theinvolvedmechanismmightb
6、etheadsorptionthroughmetalbindingwithorganicfunctionalgroupssuchascarboxyl,aminoandsulfonicgroups.Cu2+loadedonAMPS-silicacouldbedesorbedinHNO3solution,andtheadsorptionpropertiesremainstableafterthreeadsorption-desorptioncycles.Keywords:organicallyfunctionalizedsilicagel;2-acryl
