2、lievethatinthisnewglobalageourprosperityisindivisible. Webelievethatglobalproblemsrequireglobalsolutions. Webelievethatforgrowthtobesustaineditmustbesharedandthattrademustonceagainbecomeanengineofgrowth.TheoldWashingtonconsensusisover. Todaywehavereachedanewconsensus-tha

3、twetakeglobalactiontogethertodealwiththeproblemsweface;thatwewilldowhatisnecessarytorestoregrowthandjobs;thatwewilltakeessentialactiontorebuildconfidenceandtrustinourfinancialsystem,andtopreventacrisissuchasthiseverhappeningagain.Therearenoquickfixes,butwiththesixpledges

4、thatwemaketodaywecanshortentherecessionandwecansavejobs.Firstofall,forthefirsttimewehavecometogethertosetprinciplestoreformtheglobalbankingsystem. Thisisacomprehensiveprogrammeofmeasuresthatincludesforthefirsttimebringingtheshadowbankingsystem,includinghedgefunds,withint

5、heglobalregulatorynet. Wehaveagreedthatinternationalaccountingstandardswillhavetobeset. Wewillregulatecreditratingagenciesinordertoremovetheirconflictsofinterest. Wehaveagreedthattherewillbeanendtotaxhavensthatdonottransferinformationonrequest. Thebankingsecrecyofthepast

6、mustcometoanend.TheOrganisationofEconomicCooperationandDevelopmentarethisafternoonpublishingalistoftaxhavensthatarenoncompliantandwhereactionmustimmediatelybetakenandwehaveagreedtoughstandardsandsanctionsforuseagainstthosewhodon’tcomeintolineinthefuture.Wewillcreateanewf

7、inancialstabilityboardtoensurecooperationacrossfrontiers,tospotriskstotheeconomyandtogetherwiththeInternationalMonetaryFundprovidetheearlywarningmechanismthatthisnewglobaleconomyneeds.Wewillcompletetheimplementationofinternationalcollegesofsupervisorsoffinancialinstituti
