4、rformanceandfunctionalrolesincolorectalcancer(CRC)hadnotbeenaddressed.Inthisstudy,wefoundthatKeywords:AFAP1-AS1wasaberrantlyover-expressedinCRCtissuesandcloselycorrelatedwithtumorsize,TNMColorectalcancerstageanddistantmetastasis.Kaplan-MeieranalysisindicatedthatpatientswithhighlevelofLon
5、gnon-codingRNAAFAP1-AS1AFAP1-AS1expressionhadpooreroverallsurvival(OS)anddisease-freesurvival(DFS).UnivariateandmultivariableCoxregressionanalysesfurtheridentifiedthatup-regulatedAFAP1-AS1mightactasanPrognosisindependentprognosticfactorforCRCpatients.Moreover,AFAP1-AS1depletionresultedint
6、heinhibitionofTumorigenesisCRCcellproliferationandcolonyformation.Inaddition,AFAP1-AS1knockdowninducedG0/G1cellcyclearrestinCRCcells.Takentogether,ourfindingsindicatethatAFAP1-AS1issignificantlyup-regulatedinCRC,whichmayactasanoncogeneandcorrelatewithtumormalignantprogressionandpoorprognos
