5、uponcoolingthroughthegap.Basedonthissystem,anewZr–Ce–La–Al–Comonotecticsystemwascreatedtosynthesizeliquid-phase-separatedbulkmetallicglasses(LPS-BMGs)bycoppermoldcasting.AsystematicalinvestigationwasperformedfortheeffectsoftherelativeatomicratiosofZr:CeLa,Co:AlandCe:Laont

6、hemicrostructurefeaturesandchemicalcompositionsofthetwocoexistent11phases.Dualatompairswithpositiveheatofmixing(Zr–Ce:+12kJmolandZr–La:+13kJmol)areoriginallyadoptedtodevelopsuchLPS-BMGs.AseriesofinsituformedLPS-BMGswithacriticalthicknessof2.5mmhasbeensuccessfullysynthe

7、sized.Bycom-biningthekineticsofliquid–liquidphaseseparationwiththeformationofmetallicglasses,themechanismsofphaseformationandthemicrostructureevolutionintherapidlycooledalloysarediscussedindetail.Furthermore,athermodynamicmodelisproposedforLPS-BMGdesign,attemptingtobuild
