2、ontent.Onegraduatebiostatisticscourseof98studentspar-ticipated.Basedonthreeindependenttestadministrations,ANCOVAswerecomputedtoisolatethee¤ectsofhumorousdirectionsonly,humorousitemsonly,andthecombinationofbothonemotional/physiologicalandworry/cognitiveanxietysymptomsandbiostatisticsachievement.

3、Humorousdi-rectionshadastatisticallysignificant(p<.05)impactonconstructed-responseitemperformanceforthefirsttest(descriptivestatistics),withane¤ectsizeof.43.Multiple-choicetestperformancecorrelatednegativelywiththetwopre-anxietysubscales(r¼
.46,p<.001),explainingupto21%ofthevariance.Thelimitation
