2、ologyaimsatgivingstudentsaholistictheoreticalfoundationandanalyticalskillstoeffectivelyaddressthesechallenges.NTNU’s IndustrialEcologyProgrammewascreatedinthemid1990s.Todayitisaworldleadingacademicprogrammeinindustrialecology,offeringaMScandaPhDprogrammewithafocusonstate-of-the-a
3、rtmethodsforenvironmentalsystemsanalysisandstrategiesforpolicyandmanagement,andontheapplicationofsuchstrategiesandmethodstocriticalsystems.Energyproduction,industrialproductandprocessdesign,industrialsymbiosis,sustainableconsumption,environmentalmanagement,climatechange,extendedp
4、roducerresponsibility,integratedproductpolicy,sustainableconstructionandinfrastructure,transportation,andwasterecyclingareareasweworkwith.Ourapproachistointegrateenvironmentalissuestogetherwitheconomiceffectivenessasapartofinnovationandstrategicimprovementsbyexaminingandunderstan
5、dingthematerialandenergymetabolism(stocksandflows),conversionefficiencies,andenvironmentalimpacts.TheMasterofScience(MSc)inindustrialecologyisatwo-yearfull-timedegreeprogram(120ECTScredits)targetedtowardbothNorwegianandinternationalstudentswithavarietyofdisciplinaryandculturalbac
