4、rsstimulatedelectoralchange.Australiapioneeredreformsthatunderpintheelectoralpracticesofmoderndemocracies.·In1855,Victoriaintroducedthesecretballot,whichbecameknownthroughouttheworldas‘theAustralianballot’.·In1856,SouthAustraliaeliminatedprofessionalandpropertyqualifi
5、cationsandgavethevotetoalladultmen.·In1892gaveadultwomenthevote.·Inthe1890sthecoloniesadoptedtheprincipleofonevoteperperson,stoppingthepracticeofpluralvoting.Australia’sgovernmentisbasedonapopularlyelectedparliamentwithtwochambers:·TheHouseofRepresentatives·TheSenateM
