3、romgeographicallydispersedcustomers.Eachlocalwarehouseusesapotentiallydifferentbasestockpolicy.Thewarehousesarecollectivelyrequiredtosatisfytime-basedservicetargets:Certainpercentagesofoveralldemandneedtobesatisfiedfromfacilitieswithinspecifiedtimewindows.Theseservicelevelsnotonlydepend

4、onthedistancebetweencustomersandthewarehouses,butalsodependonthepartavailabilitiesatthewarehouses.Moreover,thewarehousessharetheirinventoryasa1waytoincreaseachievedservicelevels,i.e.whenalocalwarehouseisoutofstock,demandissatisfiedwithanemergencyshipmentfromanotherclose-bywarehouse.Obse
