3、liedtotheUniversityofChicago.TheywerechosenbyChicago’sadmissionsdirector,DonMartin,accordingtomydesirethattheybefromfourverydifferentpeopleandofaveragequalityforthoseadmitted.Inotherwords,theseessayswillshowyouexactlywhatyouarecompetingagainst.Theyareofperfectlyacceptablequality,
4、buttheyshouldnotdiscourageyou.Ifyoufollowthelessonsofthisbookyoushouldbeabletosurpasseachoftheseefforts.Thesecondsetofthreeapplicants—Melissa,Doreen,andCarol—istakenfromColumbiaUniversity’sfiles.Columbia’sadmissionsdirector,LindaMeehan,wasaskedtosupplyseveralapplications,againfro
