3、ulationofagas-insulatedswitchgear(GIS)istodetectpartialdischargesusingsignalsintheultrahighfrequency(UHF)band.TodetectpartialdischargesignalsthatpropagateinsideaGIS,itisnecessarytoinstallasensorinsideorsetontheoutsideofaGIStank.ForGISsthathavealreadybeenconstructed,itiseffectivetouseextern
4、aldiagnosisusingelectromagneticwave(EM-wave)signalsthatradiate(leak)fromtheinsulationspaceroftheGIStank,andthereisstrongdemandforsuchadiagnosistechnology.ExternallyleakingEM-wavesareoftendetectedusinganantenna,andmultipleantennassupportingdifferentfrequencybandsarecommerciallyavailable.The
5、accuracyofexternaldiagnosiscouldbeimprovedbycomparingandevaluatingthecharacteristicsofvariousantennas.TheinsulationspacerofaGIStankisusuallyinstalledontheflangeandfastenedwithmetalbolts.GIStanksaremadeelectricallycontinuousbythesemetalboltsandhavethesamegroundingpotential.EM-wavesleakfromt
6、hepartofthesolidinsulatorsurroundedbythesemetalboltsandtheGIStanks.Thisleakingpartformsaslotantennaandhasaresonantfrequencythatdependsonthespacingbetweentheboltsinthecircumferentialdirectionoftheflange.Atthisresonantfrequency,theoutputofexternallyleakingEM-wavesishigherandenablesmoresensit
7、ivemeasurement.Inthisstudy,thedetectioncharacteristicswithdifferentantennapositionsanddirectionswerecomparedinconsiderationofthenumberandpositionsoftheboltsonthespacer,andthefrequencycharacteristicsofvariousantennaswereobtained.Toimprovethedetectionsensitivity
