2、orm5July2006;accepted5July2006Availableonline14August2006AbstractAnexperimentalstudyonco-pyrolysisofbiomassandcoalwasperformedinafreefallreactorunderatmosphericpressurewithnitro-genasbalancegas.ThecoalsampleselectedwasDayanlignite,whilethebiomassusedwaslegumestraw.Theoperationtemperaturewasove
3、rarangeof500–700°C,andtheblendingratioofbiomassinmixtureswasvariedbetween0and100wt.%.Theresultsindicatedthatthereexistsynergeticeffectsintheco-pyrolysisofbiomassandcoal.Underthehigherblendingratioconditions,thecharyieldsarelowerthanthetheoreticalvaluescalculatedonpyrolysisofeachindividualfuel,a
4、ndconsequentlytheliquidyieldsarehigher.Moreover,theexperimentalresultsshowedthatthecompositionsofthegaseousproductsfromblendedsamplesarenotallinaccordancewiththoseoftheirparentfuels.TheCO2reactivitiesofthecharsobtainedfromtheco-pyrolysisunderthehigherblendingratio(around70wt.%)conditionsareabo
