2、pontheadoptionofcertainproposalswithregardtominimumstandardsofsocialsecurity,whichareincludedinthefifthitemontheagendaofthesession,andHavingdeterminedthattheseproposalsshalltaketheformofaninternationalConvention,adoptsthistwenty-eighthdayofJuneoftheyearonethousan
3、dninehundredandfifty-twothefollowingConvention,whichmaybecitedastheSocialSecurity(MinimumStandards)Convention,1952:PARTI.GENERALPROVISIONSArticle11.InthisConvention--(a)thetermprescribedmeansdeterminedbyorinvirtueofnationallawsorregulations;(b)thetermresidencemea
4、nsordinaryresidenceintheterritoryoftheMemberandthetermresidentmeansapersonordinarilyresidentintheterritoryoftheMember;(c)thetermwifemeansawifewhoismaintainedbyherhusband;(d)thetermwidowmeansawomanwhowasmaintainedbyherhusbandatthetimeofhisdeath;(e)thetermchildmean
5、sachildunderschool-leavingageorunder15yearsofage,asmaybeprescribed;(f)thetermqualifyingperiodmeansaperiodofcontribution,oraperiodofemployment,oraperiodofresidence,oranycombinationthereof,asmaybeprescribed.2.InArticles10,34and49thetermbenefitmeanseitherdirectbenef
6、itintheformofcareorindirectbenefitconsistingofareimbursementoftheexpensesbornebythepersonconcerned.Article2EachMemberforwhichthisConventionisinforce--(a)shallcomplywith--(i)PartI;(ii)atleastthreeofPartsII,III,IV,V,VI,VII,VIII,IXandX,includingatleastoneofPartsIV,V
7、,VI,IXandX;(iii)therelevantprovisionsofPartsXI,XIIandXIII;and(iv)PartXIV;and(b)shallspecifyinitsratificationinrespectofwhichofPartsIItoXitacceptstheobligationsoftheConvention.Article31.AMemberwhoseeconomyandmedicalfacilitiesareinsufficientlydevelopedmay,ifandfors
8、olongasthecompetentauthorityconsidersnecessary,availitself,byadeclarationappendedtoitsratification,ofthetemporaryexceptionsprovidedforinthefollowingArticles:9(
