3、e,ordidsheinitiateyouintoluciddreaming?IwasheavilyinvolvedwithluciddreamingforseveralyearsbeforeIstartedcorrespondingwithJanice.Itwasourmutualinterestinthesubjectthatbroughtustogethertobeginwith(thoughweobviouslyfoundoutwehadalotmoreincommon).That'snottosayIdidnotlearnagreatdealfromher,butthatIth
4、inkshelearnedafewthingsfrommeaswell.IwouldliketomentionrightupfrontthatIthinkitveryimportantforluciddreamerstosharetheirthoughtsandobservationsthewayRuthSacksteder,JaniceandIdidthroughourthree-waycorrespondence.Thepossibilitiesofluciddreamingaresogreatthatmanyluciddreamersmissimportantpointsother
5、wise.IthinkTheLucidDreamExchangeprovidesaveryvaluableservicetoluciddreamersforthatreason.How,then,didyougetyourstartasaluciddreamer?Ihadknownaboutluciddreamingsincethelate1970s,whenIreadCharlesTart'sAlteredStatesOfConsciousness.AtthattimeIevenhadafewluciddreams,butIwasnotbyanymeansanaturalluciddr
6、eamerlikeJanice.WhenIstartedrecordingmyluciddreamsinlate1987,afterreadingStephenLaBerge'sLucidDreaming,Ionlyrememberedhavingexperiencedsixluciddreamsinthepreviousdecade.Evenaftermakingseriouseffortstoinducelucidity,Iwasonlyaveragingaboutonelucidincidentamonthorsoforthefirstcoupleofyears.Itwasonly
