2、lviaGaravagliabandClaudioTonellibAbstractPerfluoropolyether(PFPE)structurescanbefunctionalizedwithacrylicgroupsusingappropriatehydrogenatedacrylicmonomers:themacromersobtainedarehighlyreactiveunderUVirradiation,andfluorinatedpolymerscanbeobtained.Inthefirstpartofthisworkisdescribedthesynth

3、esisofnewPFPE(meth)acrylicoligomersbyextendingOH-terminatedfluorinatedchainswithurethanegroupsandreactiveacrylicfunctions.Thephotopolymerizationreactionofeachproductisthenreportedfollowedbythecharacterisationofthemainthermal,mechanicalandsurfacepropertiesofUV-curedcoatings.Thepolymershav

4、egoodthermalresistanceandfairmechanicalandchemicalresistance.Moreinterestinglytheyshowverylowrefractiveindexandlowsurfacetension.Fortheselatterpropertiestheproductscanbeadvantageouslyusedinhighlydemandingapplicationssuchasphotonicdevicesandnano-patterning.c2011SocietyofChemicalIndustry
