3、nisterandDepartment(S.I.No.220of2011),theMinisterforArts,HeritageandtheGaeltachtisresponsibleforissuingguidelinesonarchitecturalheritageprotectionunderPartIVofthePlanningandDevelopmentAct2000,asamended.TheseincludeguidelinesunderS.52(1)fortheprotectionofstructu
4、res,orpartsofstructures,andthepreservationofthecharacterofarchitecturalconservationareas,andguidelinesunderS.52(2)withrespecttoprotectedstructureswhichareregularlyusedasplacesofpublicworship.GuidelinesentitledArchitecturalHeritageProtectionforPlacesofPublicWors
5、hipwereissuedbytheMinisterfortheEnvironment,HeritageandLocalGovernmentin2003underS.52(2),followingconsultationwithrepresentativesofthefourmainchurches,andweresubsequentlyamendedin2007.InDecember2004,theMinisterfortheEnvironment,HeritageandLocalGovernmentpublish
6、edguidelinesunderS.52(1)entitledArchitecturalHeritageProtectionGuidelinesforPlanningAuthoritieswhichincorporatedtheS.52(2)guidelinesasChapter5.TheArchitecturalHeritageProtectionGuidelinesforPlanningAuthoritieswereformallyissuedtotheplanningauthoritiesinFebruary
7、2005.Followingthetransferoffunctions,theMinisterforArts,HeritageandtheGaeltachthasdecidedtoreissuetheArchitecturalHeritageProtectionGuidelinesforPlanningAuthorities.Itshouldbenotedthatthemaintexthasnotbeenamendedbutthat,asaresultofthetransferoffunctionsandchang
8、eoftitles,anyreferencestotheMinisterfor,ortheDepartmentof,theEnvironment,HeritageandLocalGovernmentwithregardtothesefunctionsshallnowbeconstruedasreferringtotheMinisterfor,o
