2、dertostrengthentheadministrationofenterprisename，protectlawfulrightsandinterestsofenterprises，andmaintainsocialandeconomicorder.　　Article2TheseProvisionsareapplicabletoenterprisesqualifiedaslegalpersonsorrequiredtoberegisteredaccordingtolawwithinChina'sterritory.　　Article3Ane

3、nterprisename，whenbeingappliedforregistrationbyanenterprise，shallbeexaminedandapprovedbythecompetentregistrationauthorities.Anenterprisenamecanbeusedonlyafterithasbeenapprovedandregistered，andanexclusiverighttoitsuseshallbeenjoyedwithinaprescribedscope.　　Article4Thecompetentr

4、egistrationauthoritiesofenterprisenames（hereinafterreferredtoas“thecompetentregistrationauthorities”）aretheStateAdministrationforIndustryandCommerceanditslocaladministrationsatvariouslevels.Thecompetentregistrationauthoritiesmayapproveorrejectanenterprisenameregistrationappli

5、cation，superviseandadministertheutilizationoftheenterprisename，andprotecttheexclusiverighttotheuseofenterprisename.　　InaccordancewiththeRegulationsofthePeople'sRepublicofChinaforControllingtheRegistrationofEnterprisesasLegalPersons，thecompetentregistrationauthoritiesshallcarr

6、youtgradationadministrationofregistrationofenterprisenames.NamesofenterpriseswithforeigninvestmentshallbeapprovedbytheStateAdministrationforIndustryandCommerce.　　Article5Thecompetentregistrationauthoritiesareentitledtorectifytheinappropriateenterprisenamesalreadyregistered.Th

7、ecompetentregistrationauthoritiesathigherlevelareentitledtorectifytheinappropriateenterprisenamesregisteredbythecompetentregistrationauthoritiesatlowerlevel.　　Anyunitorindividualmayrequiretothecompetentregistrationauthoritiestorectifyaninappropriateenterprisenameregistered.
