1、INTRODUCTION1ContributionstoPhilosophy(FromEnowning)maybeconsideredHeideg-ger’ssecondmajorworkafterBeingandTime.2Thisbookiscomposedofa“Preview,”a¤nalpartcalled“Be-ing,”andsixjoiningsorfugues(Fu-gen),whichstructurethebasicrelationsandintentionsofHeidegger’sbe-ing-historicalthinking(seyns
2、geschichtlichesDenken)afterthemid1930s,i.e.,followingtheso-called“turning”(Kehre)ofhisthought.Thereareindicationsthattheplanforthissecondmajorworkaroseasearlyas1932,whenHeideggerwasworkingonhisessay“OntheEssenceofTruth.”3HeideggerwroteContributions,morespeci¤callythePreviewandthesixjoin
3、ings,in1936–1937,afterhiserrancyintotheNationalSocialistmove-ment,afterhis¤rstlecturesonHölderlin(1934–35),andafterhestartedrethinkingthebeginningsofWesternmetaphysicsinhislecturecourse,IntroductiontoMetaphysics(1935).ThelastpartofContributions,“Be-ing,”waswrittenin1938andmaybeconsidere
