2、FeministandLiberationisttheologieshaverightlybeensuspi-ciousofdiscoursesmakingclaimstobeing“natural”,“self-evident”,or“rational”whenprobingrevealsthattheyoperateatthelevelofideology,andthereintooeasilyexcludeaccountsthatcoulddisrupttheapparentnat-uralnessoftheir
3、particulartellingofthestory.Thatprocessofnaturalisationmakesthesewaysoftellingthestoriesoftheworld,nations,andsocialandpoliticalgroups,partofthefabricofthecultural-linguisticshapeofthestory-tellingsothatlanguageuserswhoareinformedbythesestoriesloseanysensethatth
4、ingscouldbetoldorimagineddifferently.Thestories,then,appearas“true”,aredivorcedfromtheparticularcontextstheyonceinhab-ited,andservespecificinterests.Yetlanguages,forinstance,arenotexaminable,dissectableandframeableasstableorstaticentities.Language-usebythoselessf
5、amiliarwith,orevenunfamiliarwith,thespecificitiesinvolvedintherulesofanyparticularspeechcanmodifythatlanguageatevenitsgrammaticalcore.Inthiseventthe“other”isbroughtintoconversationtodestabilisingeffect.Conversation,then,caninduceadisruptionandmodificationofgrammat
