4、ourcecode.drawbacks.ThispaperaddressestheselimitationsandpresentssolutionsusingDEEP(Decision-supportforEnergyEfficient•ApracticalimplementationoftheDEEPplatformProcessing).DEEPisarapidly-deployedopen-sourceenergyarchitecturethatusesonlycommodityhardwareandmeasurementplat

5、formarchitecture.Theplatformprovidesansoftware.Evaluationrevealsverysmallprocessingandunprecedentedabilitytonon-intrusivelymeasuretheenergyenergyoverheads(lessthan5%inmostcases).consumptionassociatedwithexecutionofsoftwareapplicationcode.DEEPisimplementedasbothanonlinean

6、dofflineversion.•AnoveldatacompressionandtransportalgorithmcalledEvaluationdemonstratesprocessingandenergyoverheadslessthanDEEPcompressthatusesDEEPtodynamicallyselectthe1%forofflineandabout5%fortheonlineimplementation.ThecompressionschemetoadapttovaryingsystemandDEEPimpl

7、ementationinvestigatestheimpactofdatacompressiononnetworkconditions.Largeenergysavings(upto38%)arenetworkdatatransport.AnintelligentdatacompressionandtransportobservedwhenusingaDEEPcompressimplementationtoalgorithmisdevelopedusingthedecision-supportcapabilitiesoftranspor
