2、theresearchfieldofadsorptionanddiffusioninporousmaterials．Withthedevelopmentoftheoryandexperimentaltechniquesaswellastheimprovementofmolecularsimulation,studiesonadsorptionanddiffusionbecomemoreprosperous．Indeedadsorptionanddiffusionareveryimportantformanyapp

3、licationssuchasthecharacterizationofporousmaterials，adsorption—basedseparationprocesses，catalysis，especiallycatalytickinetics．ThisMScresearchhasbeenfocusedonadsorptionanddiffusioninporousmaterials，andthemainresultsaresummarizedasfollows：Combinedwithcarbondiox

5、to1barandattemperaturesrangingfrom195Kto323K．TheMPAEmodeldescribesthepresentadsorptionisothermdataverywelloverthewholerangeoftheinvestigatedconditions．TheinconsistencyoftheisothermscorrelatedbytheTrthmodelwiththosepredictedbyMonte-Carlosimulationforanadsorpti

6、onsystemintheliteratureWasinterpreted，i．e．itisprobablycausedbythenon-equilibriumisothermdatameasuredandthecorrectionbehavioroftheTrthmodelatlowpressures．TheestimatedsaturationcapacitybytheMPAEmodelisreasonablyconsistentwiththetotalporevolumedeterminedfromN2ad

7、sorptionat77K，indicatingthatC02hasahighdegreeofoccupancyintheactivatedcarbonsinvestigated．ThecurrentworkalsoconfirmsthatC02molecularisagoodIIlABSTRACTcandidateforthecharactrizationofporouscarbons，especiallymicroporouscarbons．Thethermodynamicpropertiessuchasad
