3、bitstobestoredforextendedtimes.Therefore,thestudyofthecoherenceofspinsofvariousquantumdotconfinedchargecarriersisimportantbothscientificallyandtechnologically.Inthisstudywereportonspinrelaxationmeasurementsperformedonfivedifferentformsofelectronicspinqubitsconfinedintheverysamequantumdot.Inparticular
4、,weuseallopticaltechniquestomeasurethespinrelaxationoftheconfinedheavyholeandthatofthedarkexciton–alonglivedelectron-heavyholepairwithparallelspins.Ourmeasuredresultsforthespinrelaxationoftheelectron,theheavy-hole,thedarkexciton,thenegativeandthepositivetrions,intheabsenceofexternallyappliedmagne
5、ticfield,areinagreementwithacentralspintheorywhichattributesthedephasingofthecarriers’spintotheirhyperfineinteractionswiththenuclearspinsoftheatomsformingthequantumdots.Wedemonstratethattheheavyholedephasesmuchslowerthantheelectron.Wealsoshow,bothexperimentallyandtheoretically,thatthedarkexcitonde
6、phasesslowerthantheheavyhole,duetotheelectron-holeexchangeinteraction,whichpartiallyprotectsitsspinstatefromdephasing.I.INTRODUCTIONInthisworkwecomprehensivelystudy,bothexper-imentallyandtheoretically,thedephasingdynamicsofTheelectronicspininsemiconductornanostructuresQDconfinedelectronicspinsin5
