2、ssessionheldinSeptemberOctober 2006,reviewedthepositivediscussionsheldduringthetwosessionsoftheProvisionalCommitteeonProposalsRelatedtoaWIPODevelopmentAgenda(PCDA),emphasizedtheneedtocontinuediscussionsontheproposalssubmittedandplacedinthesixclustersduringthe

3、IIM/PCDAprocess,anddecided,interalia,torenewthemandateofthePCDAforoneyear.ItwasalsodecidedthatthePCDAwouldholdtwofivedaysessionsinamannerthatallowsforstructuredindepthdiscussionsonall111proposalsmadeduringthesessionsoftheIIMandPCDAin2005and2006,takingintoacc

4、ountthedecisionofthe2005General Assemblyonthedeadlineforsubmissionofnewproposals.TheGeneralAssemblydecidedthatinordertofacilitatethetaskandstreamlinetheprocessfordetailedexaminationofallproposalsinaninclusivemanner,thePCDAshouldundertakeanexercise:(a)tonarrowd

5、owntheproposals,inordertoensurethatthereisnorepetitionorduplication;(b)toseparatetheproposalswhichareactionablefromthosewhicharedeclarationsofgeneralprinciplesandobjectives;and(c)tonotethoseproposalswhichrelatetoexistingactivitiesinWIPOandthosewhichdonot.Inthi
