5、0Alfenas-MG,BrazilAbstractTheobjectofthepresentstudywasthedevelopmentofmethodforthedeterminationofurinaryortho-cresolusingsolid-phasemicroextraction(SPME),followedbycapillarygaschromatography-flameionizationdetection(GC/FID).AfteroptimizationoftheSPMEvariablesand
6、validationofthemethod,itwasappliedtoanalysisofo-cresolinurinecollectedfrom27workersexposedtosolventsinautomotiverepairshops.Themaximumextractionefficiencywasobtainedusingfiberofcarbowax-divinylbenzene(CW/DVB),70μm,immerged20mininacidhydrolysedurineaddedwith3gNa2S
7、O4atpH7.0andundermagneticstirring.Themethodshowedlinearitybetween0.1to1.5mgL-1,LOQof0.1mgL-1,precisionbetween6.8to7.8%CV.Meano-cresolinurinefromexposedworkerswas0.35±0.23mgL-1.TheSPME-GC/FIDmethodisfast,simpleandcanbeappliedtotheoccupationaltoluenebiomonitoring.©
