4、uremodel,threearticleshavebeenchosenandextensivelyanalyzed.Theresearchquestionsare“HowistheprocessoftheCostaRica’sdiplomaticshiftframed?”and“Whatistheportrayedimageoftheactorsconcernedbythediplomaticshift?”ThefindingsshowthattheCostaRicandiplomaticshiftwasnegativelyportrayedinthearti
5、cles.ThepoliticalreasonsandcircumstancescarriedoutundertheagreementbetweenCostaRicaandChinawereparticularlycriticized.Taiwanwasmostlyportrayedasbearingtheconsequencesandpartiallyaccusedofdeployingtheso-calledcheckbookdiplomacy.Furthermore,Chinawasconsideredasaneconomicstrongforcewith
