4、odelingandcontrolforpneumaticactuatorsystem.SystemIdentificationapproachisusedwiththepurposetoestimatethemathematicalmodelofpneumaticactuatorsystemandforcontrollerdesign.Datacollectionofinputandoutputsignalofthesystemhasbeenperformedfromexperimentprocedure.Thisdat
5、aisusedforestimatethemodelbyselectingAuto-RegressiveExogenous(ARX)modelasamodelstructure.Theacceptedmodelisbasedvalidationtestnamelyasresidualcorrelation,AkaikeFinalPredictionErrorandbestfitpercentage.DifferentcontrolschemessuchasPIDandLQR(LinearQuadraticRegulator
6、)havebeenappliedforcontrollerdesign.PIDcontrollerswithZieglerNicholstuningareenabledtoprovidegoodperformanceinvarioussystems.TheeffectsofTustintransformation,zeroorderholdanddiscretemodelaretestedinPIDcontrollerdesigned.Themethodologyforthispapercombinesoff-linemo
