4、facturingproductsincountriessuchasChina.Althoughthecontainerswerelabeledas"aluminumfromconstructionanddemolitionwaste",inspectorsfoundinthemamixofsteelcarparts,copperwiring,circuitboard,chipboardandwoodfragments,glass,foam,brick,stoneandotherwastematerial.Thee
5、xportingcompanyisChungsUKLtd,whichsourcesandexportsscrapmetalandplastictosell,mainlytoChina.ThecontainerswereloadedatBWRiddle,avehicledismantlingandmetalrecyclingsiteintheEnglishMidlands.BWRiddlewasfined15,500pounds($243,000)andChungsUKLtd11,500pounds.BWRiddle
6、partnerColinRiddlesaidthathewas"surprisedanddisappointed"tohave"unintentionally"breachedthelaw.Hesaidthathewas"notawarethatthesaleofnon-hazardousmixedwastecomprisingmainlyofmetal,plasticsandrubbertoanexporter,exportingtoChina,wassubjecttospecificrequirements".
