3、ce(AI)havealongandintertwinedhistory.Inmorerecenttimes,however,communicationandcollaborationbetweenthetwofieldshasbecomelesscommonplace.Inthisarticle,wearguethatbetterunderstandingbiologicalbrainscouldplayavitalroleinbuildingintelligentmachines.Wesurveyhi
4、storicalinteractionsbetweentheAIandneurosciencefieldsandemphasizecurrentadvancesinAIthathavebeeninspiredbythestudyofneuralcomputationinhumansandotheranimals.Weconcludebyhighlightingsharedthemesthatmaybekeyforadvancingfutureresearchinbothfields.Inrecentyear
5、s,rapidprogresshasbeenmadeintherelatedtively.Forexample,ifanalgorithmisnotquiteattainingthelevelfieldsofneuroscienceandartificialintelligence(AI).Attheofperformancerequiredorexpected,butweobserveitiscoretodawnofthecomputerage,workonAIwasinextricablyinter-t
6、hefunctioningofthebrain,thenwecansurmisethatredoubledtwinedwithneuroscienceandpsychology,andmanyoftheearlyengineeringeffortsgearedtomakingitworkinartificialsystemspioneersstraddledbothfields,withcollaborationsbetweenarelikelytopayoff.thesedisciplinesprovin
