3、ationorlearningviaexperience.ArtificialImmuneSystems(AIS)aremachine-learningalgorithmsthatembodysomeoftheprinciplesandattempttotakeadvantagesofthebenefitsofnaturalimmunesystemsforuseintacklingcomplexproblemdomains.TheArtificialImmuneRecognitionSystem(AIRS),isonesuchsupervisedlearningAISthath

4、asshownsignificantsuccessonbroadrangeofclassificationproblems.ThefocusofthisworkistheAIRSalgorithm,specificallythetechniqueshistory,previousresearchandalgorithmfunction.CompetencewiththeAIRSalgorithmisdemonstratedintermsoftheoryandapplication.TheAIRSalgorithmisanalysedfromtheperspectiveofrea

5、sonabledesigngoalsforanimmuneinspiredAISandanumberoflimitationsandareasforimprovementareidentified.Anumberoforiginalandborrowedaugmentations,simplificationsandchangestotheAIRSalgorithmarethenproposedtoaddressestheidentifiedareas.Aprofessional-levelimplementationoftheAIRSalgorithmisproducedan
