4、15,29(6):601G609.Abstract:AspontaneousyellowGgreenmutantwasobtainedfromthejaponicaricecultivarDongjininthefield,designatedasdjyg.ThemutantshowedobviousyellowGgreenleafphenotypeattheseedlingstagebutthechloroticleavesreturnedtogreenaftertheheadingstage.Consistentwiththephenotype,thechlo
5、rophyllbcontentofthemutantwasreducedby53%,62%and36%attheseedling,tilleringandheadingstages,respectively,comparedwiththatofthewildtype(WT).Atthetilleringstage,weobservedthatthegranasandthylakoidstacksdisplayedamessandloosestructure,aswellaslessdensityinthemutantdjygcomparedwiththeWTund
6、eratransmissionelectronmicroscopy.ThetranscriptionallevelsofPORA,Cab1R,PsbAwerealsodecreasedinthemutantdjyg.GeneticanalysisandmapGbasedcloningdemonstratedthatthephenotypeofthemutantwascontrolledbyamajorrecessivenucleargene,whichisanalleleofchlorophyllsynthaseYGL1.Themutantdjygcanbeuse
